Chelsea provided the latest chapter in this constantly jaw-dropping Premier League season yesterday when they sacked Jose Mourinho.

Pressure had been mounting on how long the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ would last at Stamford Bridge following an awful domestic campaign.

Football waits for no man however and the conversation turns to who will take on one of the biggest jobs in the game?

Guus Hiddink is the strong favourite at 1/7 for be next permanent Chelsea manager, having previously taken charge in west London in an interim capacity six years ago.

Former Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is second in the betting with Ladbrokes at 8/1, ahead of the widely revered Pep Guardiola at 10/1 – whose future at Bayern remains uncertain.

And what about former Blues reserve team manager Brendan Rodgers at 12s? And then there’s Atletico Madrid’s charismatic coach Diego Simeone at 14/1
