POLL: Is this Arsenal’s best chance of the Premier League since 2004?

Last night’s clash between Arsenal and Manchester City was a real opportunity for either side to declare their Premier League aspirations, and it was the London club who came out on top.
A 2-1 win for Arsene Wenger’s men has moved them to just two points behind surprise leaders Leicester, while Man City now sit four points adrift of the Gunners.
Goals from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud handed the home side victory, and pushed them into favouritism in the betting with Ladbrokes offering 5/6 on this season’s Premier League trophy heading to the Emirates.
Manchester City are now 15/8 having been favourites for much of the campaign thus far, while Leicester are 11/1.
The Gunners have lost just one of their last 11 games, and are the only side to defeat Claudio Ranieri’s side – emphatically prevailing 5-2 in September.
With boss Wenger hailing the consistency of his squad – especially his back five of defence and goalkeeper – and the likes of Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud continuing to perform up front, many of the pieces for a championship-winning campaign appear to be in place.
Add in the fact that Wenger will be welcoming back a host of currently injured stars in the opening months of 2016 – Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere and Francois Coquelin to name just three – and there’s plenty to suggest this could be Arsenal’s best chance of claiming the league for the first time since their ‘Invincibles’ campaign in 2004.
