Ladbrokes SPFL: Hibernian set to return to winning ways

We may be rapidly nearing the halfway point of the season, but this year is proving to be super-competitive throughout the Ladbrokes SPFL.

In the Ladbrokes Championship Alloa look for a second win in succession against St Mirren, while Dunfermline look to maintain their three point lead in Ladbrokes League 1.

And in Ladbrokes League 2 it’s all to play for with the top four separated by just four points.

Ladbrokes Championship

Hibernian saw their eight-game winning streak halted last weekend by Falkirk, but they’ll be confident of maintaining their unbeaten home record against Queen of the South.

Queens have won just one of their last five away games, and haven’t won at any of the league’s top five sides.

Elsewhere Alloa are 2/1 to win a second game in succession when they host struggling St Mirren.

The Saints haven’t won any of their last six league matches, but are 11/10 to end that run.

The final 3pm game sees Livingston welcome Dumbarton to the Tony Macaroni Stadium.

Livi – 23/20 – are winless in four while the Sons – 9/5 – are flying having won their last two.

Ladbrokes League 1

After seeing off Ayr in the top of the table clash last weekend, Dunfermline could go six points clear if they win at home to Stenhousemuir.

The Pars are strong 1/4 favourites for three points, while Ayr are 7/5 to win at home to a rejuvenated Peterhead.

Third-placed Albion are 4/5 to win at home to Forfar, while Cowdenbeath and Airdrieonians both go for a second successive win when they meet at Central Park.

And after last week’s table-topping battle, Brechin and Stranraer meet at Glebe Park.

City haven’t won in six while the visitors haven’t won in seven, perhaps making a draw at 27/10 somewhat appealing.

Ladbrokes League 2

League leaders Annan are looking over their shoulders at the in-form Clyde and Queen’s Park, and will be left sweating if they fail to win against Stirling Albion.

Stirling have won their last two however, and are 17/10 to win a third straight game while Athletic are 6/5.

Barry Ferguson’s Clyde have won four in a row, netting 14 goals in that spell.

And that sequence will extend to five matches if the 2/3 shots win at home to Arbroath, who haven’t tasted victory on the road since September.

In a similar vein of form are Queens Park, up to second after a quartet of wins.

Queens are 31/20 to win at Elgin (13/10), but the hosts have won six and drawn once at Borough Briggs this term.

Montrose’s latest efforts to arrest their woeful away form takes them to East Fife while Berwick head to East Stirling in a bottom of the table contest.
