Another Man United reject could be heading to Arsenal

He wasn’t wanted by Louis van Gaal at Manchester United and left English shores in the summer, but now Javier Hernandez could be on his way to a speedy return.
The Mexican was loved by Manchester United fans, but he moved to Bayer Leverkusen after failing to find favour under Van Gaal.
Hernandez has let his football do the talking, however, firing in 18 goals in just 21 appearances across the Bundesliga and Champions League.
That form has allegedly caught the attention of Arsene Wenger, who is without a fox-in-the-box type of striker in his roster.
The Arsenal boss has seen Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott miss parts of the season through injury, while former Man United man Danny Welbeck hasn’t featured at all.
Olivier Giroud and Joel Campbell has performed admirably, but it’s believed Wenger feels Chicharito would offer a useful alternative in the bid to secure this year’s Premier League.
Wenger has been forced to name Arsenal teams of late with just one recognised striker on the bench and extra numbers are surely needed if the league title is heading to the Emirates this season.
Rated at £7m by transfermarkt.co.uk, Leverkusen may be reluctant to sell, although their failure to progress beyond the Champions League group stage may aid Arsenal’s negotiations.
Hernandez averaged a goal every 2.6 games at Old Trafford, a respectable rate given he was often named on the bench and that comes down to 2.3 games for his first three seasons until Sir Alex Ferguson departed in 2013.
The Gunners are joint-favourites at 11/8 for the most open Premier League in years, and the addition Hernandez would only strengthen their chances.
