NFL Acca: Two Unbeaten teams form majority of 5/1 treble

Published:

The NFL season continues to rumble on at pace. The number of unbeaten teams in the league has been whittled down to just three and two of them make our betslip for another Sunday accumulator.

Our effort, a treble paying £58.50 to a £10 stake, has both the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots to overcome the spread during week 10, while we also take on Super Bowl runners up Seattle Seahawks with the Arizona Cardinals:

Carolina Panthers (-4) to beat Tennessee Titans @ 20/23

Despite a recent habit of taking their foot off the pedal in games, the Panthers are taken to cover a four-point spread against the 2-6 Titans.

Carolina are one of three teams left in the NFL with perfect unbeaten records and have achieved that feat largely to their work running the ball.

They rank third in the league with 142.2 yards per game on the ground and face a Titans defence that sits 20th in that particular part of the game. Tennessee has also lost nine straight games at Nissan Stadium.

New England Patriots (-7.5) to beat New York Giants @ 1/1

Another of the NFL’s 8-0 sides are the New England Patriots, who put their 100 percent record on the line against a side that has had the better of them in the past.

The Giants have won the last three meetings with Tom Brady’s side, but aren’t expected to continue the streak at MetLife Stadium.

That’s mainly because the future Hall of Fame quarterback is in charge of a scoring machine on offense. New England score 34.5 points per game on average, more than any side in the league, and have an NFL-best 31 TDs too.

New York allow more yards than any other side per game.

Arizona Cardinals (+3) to beat Seattle Seahawks @ 5/6

Two consecutive Seattle Seahawks wins before a chance to rest on their bye week make last season’s Super Bowl losers the favourites here, but it’s Arizona that are picked to prevail with a small headstart.

The Cardinals only rank behind the Patriots in points scored per game and are fourth in total offensive yards. The Seahawks have shown chinks in their armour this season and lost the last time they played at home.
