Man United and Liverpool set to spar over Danish wonderkid

There is nothing like a teenage sensation to get the Premier League’s top brass swooning and this time around it’s old rivals Manchester United and Liverpool hoping to woo the latest flavour of the month.

According to the Daily Mail, 18-year-old Dane Emre Mor has sent scouts of the two English titans into a spin thanks to his performances for FC Nordsjaelland’s U19 side.

Mor is apparently flourishing in the youth set up of the one-time Champions League group-stage participants.

Liverpool’s interest is supposedly carried over from Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund days, where the German club were closely monitoring the development of the Danish U19 forward.

As a manager who has already decreed the importance of blooding youngsters at Anfield, it seems plausible that Mor could well be on any potential wish list Klopp has in mind.

Meanwhile, having splashed the cash on another precocious teenage talent this summer, who has become an instant hit at Old Trafford since, the ground seems fertile that this approach may be adopted again by United.

How much space there would be in Louis van Gaal’s immediate plans remains to be seem with Anthony Martial doing the business, but where the most promising talents in Europe are concerned, snoozing often equals losing.

The Mail suggests that the two most successful clubs in English football are preparing to go head to head for Mor’s services, so they obviously rate the youngster very highly indeed.
