How Twitter Reacted To Spain 2 – 0 England
Published:England’s 15-match unbeaten was ended by an impressive Spain performance last night.
An excellent finish from Mario Gaspar and a late strike from Santi Cazorla did for the visitors as they were ousted by the European champions.
Roy Hodgson went with an experimental line-up with skipper Wayne Rooney left on the bench and the likes of Phil Jones, Ryan Bertrand and Ross Barkley all given a go from the start.
In the end the 2-0 scoreline reflected a game in which the Three Lions never really made an impact, something of a concern as they build-up to Euro 2016.
Here we look at how Twitter reacted to a first loss since the World Cup.
Some Spain fans will never tire of booing Gerard Pique.
Whistles for Pique as usual. Pathetic really

It was the same old England.

People rightly got a little bit excited about Mario Gaspar’s dream of an opener.
Mario Gasper with a fantastic goal!
