Don’t miss likely last chance to get smart price on Bournemouth

Published:

With Premier League points and optimism drying up in tandem on the south coast, punters should be donning their vulture’s wings and feasting on Bournemouth’s injury-ravaged carcass before their price shrinks any further.

It would be something of an understatement to label the Cherries’ succession of injuries to key personnel as unlucky since being promoted.

However, the Premier League is unsympathetic to such plights, so ahead of a pivotal scrap at home to fellow strugglers Newcastle, it would be wise to take the 11/10 about their relegation.

The price on Eddie Howe’s charges has steadily been reducing and if Newcastle leave Dean Court with a positive result next, the Cherries are sure to plummet the wrong side of evens.

This is a punting precipice that Ladbrokes customers cannot ignore.

Having collected a very respectable seven points from their opening six fixtures, taking them to the cosy climes of 11th, Howe’s men have now picked up just another point in five subsequent matches and been knocked out the League Cup.

Clearly feeling the pinch of Callum Wilson’s absence in attack, the Championship winners have only netted four times in that miserable run as well.

Whereas they were particularly unlucky not to get anything out of games against Aston Villa and Liverpool early on in the campaign, spankings from Manchester City and Tottenham have since had damaging impacts on belief levels.

It’s not that they are being totally outplayed in games either, but when the losses start piling up in the top-flight, it’s an often repeated pattern that newly promoted sides cannot recover.

The outlook could yet look a lot brighter if the south coast club pull something out the bag against the Magpies, but if they don’t, then forget backing them for the drop at odds-against.
