Champions League acca: In-form Arsenal to complete Bayern double

Published:

Arsenal head to Munich this week looking to complete a famous home and away double over Bundesliga giants Bayern.

Arsene Wenger’s men were the shock 2-0 winners when the sides met two weeks ago and on current form few would bet against the Gunners running out victorious at the Allianz Arena.

With that in mind the Emirates outfit make up one part of a tasty looking Champions league five-fold paying out at a handsome 118/1.

Here’s everything you need to know…

Arsenal to beat Bayern Munich @ 13/2

Arsenal are one of the form teams in Europe at present with the 3-0 League Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday the Gunners’ only loss in their last six games. Munich, by their own high standards, are going through something of a dodgy spell, with three wins from their last five games. Arsenal showed last time out that they can beat Bayern on their day and are the value pick here.

Chelsea to beat Dynamo Kiev @ 7/10

Chelsea’s season has lurched from bad to worse, with the Blues soundly beat 3-1 by Liverpool at the weekend. Kiev, though have won just one of their last seven Champions League outings and Jose Mourinho’s men will expect to pick up a much-needed victory.

Zenit St Petersburg to beat Lyon @ 21/10

Lyon may be the hosts but having won just two of their last six Champions League games at the Stade de Gerland the Ligue 1 outfit will be short of confidence. Not so Zenit, who arrive in France unbeaten in 12 games in all competitions and with  a 3-1 win over Hubert Fournier’s side fresh in the mind.

Porto to beat Maccabi Tel Aviv @ 10/21

Porto are unbeaten in 16 games in all competitions and can include the scalp of Chelsea in that run. Maccabi, by comparison, have won just once in seven attempts in this competition and lost 2-0 in the reverse fixture.

Roma to beat Bayer Leverkusen @ 21/20

Roma have lost just once in their last seven games in all competitions and recently held the mighty Barcelona to a 1-1 draw. As such the Italians will have all the confidence needed to swat aside at Bayer side that has won just three of their last 23 away games in the Champions League.
