Brazilian Star Drops Hint That He is Set for Liverpool

Published:

Jurgen Klopp will be keen to add to his lot at Liverpool in January and next summer and a player that is heavily being linked with a move to Merseyside is Brazil striker Alexandre Pato.

The former AC Milan whizzkid has disappeared out of the spotlight in recent years, returning to his homeland. A brief browse of his vitals may leave people amazed at the fact that he is now 26 years of age.

Nevertheless, this would represent a good bit of business for the Reds. Reports suggest that he will cost the Merseysiders just £14m when he supposedly arrives in the north-west. That’s a snip for a player who has regularly registered double figures throughout his career.

The Selecao star dropped his biggest hint yet that he may well be on his way to England recently He took to Instagram to post a picture of himself on a hoverboard contraption, thanking a company for the gift.

The player himself then stoked the embers by replying to an employee with the words ‘see you soon bro’.

As loose as the link may be, it all seems a little too coincidental. A South American footballer conveniently chatting to a hoverboard company in Liverpool, we think not.

Pato would fit perfectly in to the gergenpressing style utilised by the club’s German manager. He has the ability to get in behind the defence, something they miss when Daniel Sturridge is not present.

His class on the ball is undoubted and his excellent technical skill would be a real weapon when added to the classy operators such as Phlippe Coutinho, Roberto Fimino and Adam Lallana already at Anfield.

Throw in the fact both wide and in behind a striker and obtaining the one time Serie A young footballer of the year looks a no brainer.
