Boxing public want to see world champ Fury face Joshua next

He may have only just been crowned the new WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion of the world but attention has already turned towards who Tyson Fury will pick as his next opponent.
We thought we’d get in on the act and ask you who you’d like to see Fury fight next and it was 26-year-old WBC International and Commonwealth champion Anthony Joshua who got the nod.
The 26-year-old attracted 34 per cent of the vote and in doing so beat his nearest rivals to the punch.
And given Joshua’s recent comments he’ll be pretty pleased to hear the boxing public want him to be Fury’s first title challenger.
The Watford pugilist has won all 14 of his professional fights, each by knockout, and has told Sky Sports that he’s adamant he could beat the current champion and take his belts if they fought right now.
Will Fury give him the opportunity to try and prove his point?
WBC strapholder Deontay Wilder finished second on our list, just three per cent behind Joshua, and there’s certainly a strong case to be made for a match-up between the American and Fury.
Beating Wilder would make Fury the undisputed heavyweight champion,a feat fellow Brit Lennox Lewis managed back in the year 2000.
Meanwhile, a tasty scrap ensued lower down the order with the returning former world champion David Haye next in line.
That fight looks look unlikely at present but one bout that is bound to dominate conversation is a potential re-match with the deposed Wladimir Klitschko.
Whether the outfought Ukrainian has the stomach for another tussle with Tyson remains to be seen but until he distances himself from the sport it will continue to be mentioned.
Finally, with just six per cent of the vote it appears that there’s little appetite for a clash between Fury and Russian Alexander Povetkin.
