If you’re anything like us in the Ladbrokes News office you’ll spend more time than is really advisable sat in front of a computer monitor or smartphone screen quenching your insatiable thirst for football news, gossip and stats by visiting a number of top notch football blogs.

These websites go above and beyond to meet our needs and it’s almost that time of year when the cream of the crop are recognised at the annual Football Blogging Awards.

The 2015 edition will soon take place in Manchester and Ladbrokes is getting behind the event by sponsoring the Best Gambling Football Blog award.

The finalists have all been named and we’ll be giving you the lowdown on each one between now and the big day.

Today we take a peek behind the scenes at The ODDS Bible…

Ladbrokes News: Describe your blog In a nutshell

ODDS Bible: The ODDS Bible is a fairly new addition to the more familiar LAD Bible and SPORT Bible family. We offer our opinions on good value bets, keep our audience up to date with the latest news and share stories of big wins from within our community of followers.

LN: Describe a day in the life of a The Odds Bible blogger

OB: We’re in the office every day from 10am until around 7pm (10pm if there’s football on.) We spend most of our day writing articles and creating engaging content for our social media pages, including exclusive betting promotions, funny images and videos.

LN: Which story are you most proud of?

OB: Recently we covered the story of George Wood, a 22-year-old lad who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, lost his job and has a young son to support. He contacted us to tell us he was one win away from landing £116,000 on a ‘win and both teams to score’ accumulator.

After we posted an article about him he received thousands of messages of support and, most importantly, he won his bet! We couldn’t be happier for him, and it was a pleasure to be part of his story.

LN: Send us the best behind the scenes picture of life at The Odds Bible

OB: Here’s a shot of the wall in our office. Three of the best ever!

LN: What would it mean to win the Best Gambling Football Blog 2015?

OB: We’ve only been around for 7 or 8 months, so it means an awful lot for us to even be nominated among such strong contenders. If we won, that would be the icing on the cake!
