2015 Football Blogging Awards: Meet the finalists – Footy Accumulators

Published:

Tonight is the night and we’re all set for the Football Blogging Awards!

But before we set foot in Manchester’s Hotel Football there’s one more blog for us to highlight.

Footy Accumulators has long been at the heart of the sports betting community and we caught up with the guys over at FA to get the lowdown on their site.

Will they win the Best Gambling Football Blog prize? We’ll soon find out!

Ladbrokes News: Describe your blog in a nutshell

Footy Accumulators: Footy Accumulators is a household name in the sports betting community having been around almost four years now and boasting over 300,000 Twitter followers and a similar number of Facebook likes. Our website is the home of betting previews and accumulator advice with a side of banter thrown in for good measure. It is this mix which sees thousands of people returning daily to get their fix.

LN: Describe a day in the life of a Footy Accumulators blogger

FA: A day in the life of a Footy Accumulators blogger is a pretty hectic one! With (as previously mentioned) over 300,000 Twitter followers to interact with (we often have over 100 interactions a second on a Saturday afternoon) and betting previews to write for every English football game from the Premier League down to League 2, La Liga and the Bundesliga, there is never a dull moment!

LN: Which story are you most proud of?

FA: It’s hard to pinpoint one story we are most proud of. Obviously, being a gambling blog anything that revolves around picking a winning bet is one that gets us going. Who can forget the famous Team FA 7-folds that used to take Betfred for £1m on a Saturday?!

LN: Send us the best behind the scenes picture of life at Footy Accumulators

FA: Check this out…

LN: What would it mean to win the Best Gambling Football Blog 2015?

FA: Winning the Best Gambling Blog would obviously mean a huge amount to Team FA and would add to the previous collection of industry awards we’ve won including the Best Newcomer at the iGB Affiliate Awards in 2014. It would also confirm our status as the UK’s largest Social sports betting community.
