Leeds Rhinos have never previously beaten Wigan Warriors in a major final in their history and ending this hoodoo would be a fitting way for Kevin Sinfield to sign off on his rugby league career before switching codes to join Yorkshire Carnegie.
Sinfield’s record in previous Super League Grand Finals suggest that the Rhinos can defeat Wigan at the seventh time of asking, as he has lifted the trophy on six previous occasions from seven attempts.
Despite ending the regular season on top of the Super League pile, Leeds are marginal underdogs at 11/10 to beat the Warriors in the 90 minutes, with Wigan, who are competing in this final for the third successive year, the 10/11 favourites.
Victory for Leeds would hand them a domestic treble, making them only the third team in the Super League era to complete this feat and the first since St Helens in 2006.
This would be the perfect send off for Sinfield, who has racked up numerous Super League records since making his Rhinos debut in 1997.
Among them are that he is the top appearance maker, top point scorer and top goalscorer, while sharing the record with Pat Richards for the most points in a Grand Final with 14.

Not only would 15 points against Wigan give Sinfield the Grand Final points record single-handedly, it would also see him reach 300 points for the sixth Super League season.
It is 20/1 that Sinfield scores 15 or more points in the final, something which he has already done four times this season.
Alternatively, only six points would be enough to make Wigan the opposition he has scored the most points against during his career. 1/2 is the price that he manages this at Wembley.
