Sam Allardyce can keep Sunderland in the Premier League says Kammy

If Ellis Short gets his wish and manages to convince Sam Allardyce to take the reins at Sunderland, it could be a decision to save their Premier League status, that is according to Chris Kamara.
The Ladbrokes ambassador believes that the former Hammers boss can work his magic at the Stadium of Light in a way only he can.
Asked whether he could keep the Black Cats up this term, Kammy was very positive.
“Of course he can keep them up. He’s a man who has never been relegated from the top flight, and I believe he would keep that run going at Sunderland,” he told Ladbrokes News.
“His record in the Premier League speaks for itself, and Ellis Short will be hoping that he can provide that at the Stadium of Light.”
Under Dick Advocaat the north east side conceded 18 goals in their opening nine matches, an average of 2.25 per match that is the worst in the entire Football League.
With that in mind our man thinks there is one thing that Allardyce will need to set his sights on if he gets the gig.
“The one thing he will do is to make them hard to beat.
“At the moment Sunderland fans are calling out for them to show that characteristic, and once he brings that they will be hoping he can build on that like he has done in the past.”
Out of work since leaving the Boleyn Ground in May, Allardyce has a habit of overachieving with clubs tipped for the drop.
After guiding Bolton into the top-flight back in 2000-01, the Dudley-born gaffer maintained the Reebok Stadium’s status as a Premier League venue in the very final match of the campaign.
He then went on lift the Trotters to the heights that saw them qualify for UEFA Cup just three years later.
Even during his spell at West Ham, Big Sam took the Hammers up to 10th in the table in their first season back in the big time before establishing them as a solid mid-table outfit from thereon in.
Get the job at Sunderland and he would have a massive task on his hand, but our man Kamara believes he is capable of pulling a rabbit out of the hat this term.
