Anthony Martial had a night to remember and a night to forget in Moscow last night, conceding a penalty and then scoring the equaliser in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with CSKA in the Champions League.
The strike means that the French teenager, a £36m signing from Monaco in the summer, has taken just nine games to hit his first five goals for the Red Devils.
By contrast, Cristiano Ronaldo, who signed for United at the age of 18, took 39 games to reach the same mark.
Ronaldo has since gone on to become arguably the best player the world has ever seen but does Martial’s comparatively blistering start mean he has the tools at his disposal to eclipse the Portuguese legend?
