NFL Acca: Jets’ defense propels our Week 6 selections

Published:

It’s another NFL Sunday, so there’s another Ladbrokes News accumulator that cannot be overlooked.

After steering our last three attempts to success, we bring you a fourfold that pays £66.50 to a £10 stake. Here’s what we’re backing:

Arizona Cardinals (-4.0) to beat Pittsburgh Steelers @ 10/11

Without Ben Roethlisberger at the QB position the Steelers have gone from being the third-best passing team in the NFL to the second-worst.

Backup Michael Vick is expected to play against the Cardinals despite Big Ben’s hasty return to fitness, but he will find it tough keeping up with the visitors’ scoring might.

Arizona averages 38-points-per-game this season and are taken to get just their second win in six against Pittsburgh on a small handicap.

Cincinnati Bengals (-3.0) to beat Buffalo Bills @ 20/21

Bengals slinger Andy Dalton is rubbing shoulders with some of the NFL’s best quarterbacks this season, starring in an undefeated first five weeks for the Bengals.

With a 303-yards-per-game average through the air and 11 touchdowns thus far, Dalton will again be the focus as Cincinnati take on an injury-ravaged Bills, whose own impressive quarterback Tyrod Taylor is a doubt.

Minnesota Vikings to beat Kansas City Chiefs @ 10/19

It’s the woe the Chiefs are experiencing, more than the start of the Vikings that prompts this bet.

Having won only one of their opening five matches, the Chiefs now must battle poor form without their star player – running back Jamaal Charles.

Charles has scored half of the Chiefs’ touchdowns this season and without him they will struggle to avoid a fifth straight loss against a Vikings unit that are hunting a sixth consecutive win at home.

New York Jets to beat Washington Redskins @ 10/29

Defensive strength has propelled the Jets to a 3-1 start and, fresh from a bye last week, should be licking their lips against a Redskins offense that are prone to turning the ball over.

Washington’s nine giveaways are the eighth-most in the league this season, while the Jets average the most takeaways.

Redskins hope isn’t helped by the fact they’ve lost 15 of their last 16 on the road too.
