Ladbrokes Championship: Falkirk the latest victims of unstoppable Rangers

It was a case of more of the same in the Ladbrokes Championship this weekend, as the Rangers juggernaut continued at home to Falkirk, while Raith and Hibernian moved into second and third spots respectively.
Here’s your weekly review…
Falkirk couldn’t stop Rangers from maintaining their 100 per cent record this season, but they gave it a good go at Ibrox.
Will Vaulks’ goal cancelled out Dean Shiels’ Rangers opener and with the score still 1-1 in the final ten minutes, the Glaswegian sides’ perfect start look doomed.
But strikes from James Tavernier and Lee Wallace sealed a 3-1 win and another three points for the Blues who lead the Ladbrokes Championship by nine points and have now beaten every side in the league once already.
Raith occupy second spot now after a 2-1 win at home to Greenock Morton.
Like Rangers, Rovers left it late, very late. Jason Thomson scored the winner deep into second-half stoppage time to hand Raith a fourth successive win in the league.
The 2-1 defeat means Morton are now four games without a win.
Hibernian extended their unbeaten run to five games with a 3-0 win away at Queen of the South.
Jason Cummings, Liam Henderson and Martin Boyle were all on the scoresheet at Palmerston Park as Hibs moved into third above Falkirk.
These are worrying times for Queen’s, who are now without a league win in six matches.
Dumbarton picked up a much-needed win at home to Livingston to pull away from the drop zone.
The hosts claimed a 2-1 victory over bottom-side Livi, to earn victory for the first time in seven games.
Stephen Aitken’s men were another who needed a late effort, and Eamonn Brophy was the hero for the Sons with his winner in the 82nd minute.
The final game of the weekend produced the league’s only draw.
St Mirren and Alloa played out a 1-1 draw, which was enough for Athletic to move off the bottom.
Lawrence Shankland had put Saints ahead midway through the second half, but Alloa earned a share of the points just seven minutes later through Jason Marr.
