Hodgson told to make it harder for England hopefuls (again)

He’s denied handing out so-called ‘easy caps’ but England boss Roy Hodgson is still facing mounting criticism ahead of his side’s final Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania.
The claim originally came from ex-Liverpool and Three Lions defender, Jamie Carragher, in a blistering attack on his former boss.
And it’s a view that the majority of Ladbrokes News readers agree with.

However, Hodgson has naturally refuted the accusation. The England gaffer was reported as saying:
However Hodgson insisted: “It’s not like that at all.
“You have to be careful with that argument because it’s not a situation where, the moment you kick the ball correctly from A to B you’ll get in the England team.
“If you do make an impact as a young player, and then there are a lot of injuries in the first team, you will get a chance.”
That’s certainly been the case during England’s successful path to Euro 2016 with an eye-watering 32 players (33 if Danny Ings makes it onto the pitch tonight) being used so far during the qualifying campaign.
Still, who are we to argue with Roy’s methods?
Victory tonight would ensure he becomes the first ever England manager to guide the side to a perfect qualification record.
