Euro 2016 accumulator: Shaqiri goal and solid England win tipped

Published:

The qualification process for Euro 2016 may be dishing up high drama for the likes of Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Scotland but in most cases tedium has set in.

Regular mismatches have made for one-sided games and minimal betting opportunities for those who like a win-draw-win acca.

Fear not, however, as Ladbrokes News is showing the way to go with a tempting four-fold paying out at over 14/1 on Friday night’s games.

Read on to see where your money should be going…

England v Estonia – Over 2.5 England Goals @ 4/5

England may have already qualified and are likely to be without talismanic striker Wayne Rooney but with the likes of Theo Walcott, Jamie Vardy and Danny Ings chomping at the bit and with Estonia realistically having nothing to play for a high-scoring affair could be on the cards.

England have won two of the last three meetings 3-0 and have netted eight goals in their last two games. Estonia have lost seven of their last eight qualifiers on the road and seem unlikely to stop the rot at Wembley.

Switzerland v San Marino – Xherdan Shaqiri to score anytime @ 4/7

Trying to guess the correct score in a San Marino game is akin to buying a lottery ticket, with results of 4-0, 5-0, 6-0, 7-0 and beyond commonplace for anyone playing against the minnows.

A better shout is to opt for a goalscorer and with Stoke’s new recruit yet to open his account in England the odds on the Champions League winner are perhaps longer than they ought to be.

Shaqiri netted nine goals for club and country last year and if he can’t rediscover his touch here Potters fans could be worried for what lies ahead.

Montenegro to beat Austria @ 9/5

A rare chance to back a win can be had when Montenegro welcome Austria to the Podgorica Stadium, with Brano Brnovic’s side a solid unit at home.

The hosts have lost just one of their last seven home qualifiers and will be confident of avenging a 1-0 loss last time the sides met, especially with the Austrians winning just one of their last five on the road.

Moldova v Russia –Under 2.5 Goals @ 20/21

Games between these two have been tight affairs of late with a 1-1 draw last time round and Russia nicking a 1-0 victory before that.

Three of Moldova’s last four have seen under three goals and the same can be said of six of Russia’s last seven.

Backing another close encounter here could prove a shrewd move.
