Titans to savage Tampa Bay to steer home 15/1 NFL acca

Published:

It’s the first Sunday of the new NFL campaign and three odds-against, traveling teams can guarantee Ladbrokes punters a 15/1 payday to augment their early-season excitement.

The money will be all yours if the Titans, Saints and Giants do the business against the Buccaneers, Cardinals and Cowboys respectively.

Here’s why they’re going to do it:

New York Giants to beat Dallas Cowboys @ 11/5

Texas’ heaviest hitters have lost superstar running back from last season DeMarco Murray and his will be a very welcome absence as far as the boys from the Big Apple are concerned.

In five meetings with the Giants, Murray rushed a staggering 110 yards-per-match on average – the length of an entire football field, plus 10 yards – and it’ll be a big ask for any of resident rushers Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden or Lance Dunbar to fill this gaping void.

While the Cowboys have lost their superstar runner, New York have added one in Shane Vereen.

They’ll be a big threat on the offensive front and can snap a four-game losing streak on the opening day.

New Orleans Saints to beat Arizona Cardinals @ 23/20

Some consider the Cards Super Bowl contenders, but they’ll have to recover from an opening-day setback to get there.

The new-look Saints are weaker in terms of personnel, but they can still spring an upset here.

Drew Brees was 2014’s joint-top passer after hurling the hog skin a total of 4,952 yards and he’ll be supplying the bullets to dangerous receivers Brandin Cooks and Marques Colston, who took 112 catches between them last term.

Arizona’s finest ended the previous season in disastrous fashion, falling to an 11-5 finish after going 8-1 through the opening nine weeks.

Such a capitulation is bound to affect confidence and there’s no doubt New Orleans can capitalise.

Tennessee Titans to beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ 5/4

This bout pits the first pick in the 2015 NFL draft against the second, with the Bucs Jameis Winston squaring off with Tennessee’s Marcus Mariota.

It’ll be the latter who comes out on top of this hotly anticipated duel between the two deemed the best rookie quarterbacks in the game.

Mariota was markedly better than Winston in pre-season, where Tampa Bay’s great hope was sacked a grand total of seven times three non-competitive clashes.

This says plenty about how poor the Bucs defense remains, leaving Tennessee poised to improve an 8-2 all-time record against the Florida franchise.
