Poll: Is Jose Mourinho on borrowed time at struggling Chelsea?

Having made the club’s worst start in a Premier League campaign for 20 years, Jose Mourinho would have been sweating under the pressure building up to last weekend’s game against Everton.
And when Thibaut Cortois was ruled out for the foreseeable future, the Portuguese gaffer’s nerves wouldn’t have improved much.
But what certainly wouldn’t have helped him was his Chelsea side capitulating against the Toffees and Steven Naismith in particular, to equal last season’s defeat tally by mid-September, and mark the Blues’ worst ever Premier League start..
What used to be a well-organised defensive minded Mourinho outfit had become a shambles, now languishing in 17th place in the Premier League.

After their Merseyside defeat, the bookies reacted in a way that won’t leave the Stamford Bridge faithful looking forward to their next 33 top-flight games with much hope.
The defending champs were lengthened from 6/1 to 16/1 to reclaim their title, while they are now 7/4 (from 4/5) to even finish as the best club in London.
So where does that leave the man at the helm?
He insists that the bad start has failed to get to him:
“I am not feeling pressure. The results are the worst in my career. They are not adapted to my quality, my status, but I am coping well with the situation,” he told the BBC.
“I am the man for the job. I don’t think there is a better man who could come and do my job.”
The bookies weren’t quite so sure on the strength of his case to remain at the helm in west London, with Mourinho moving to third favourite to become the next Premier League boss out the door (9/2 from 8/1).
