Former Swansea man can lead City to win over Juve

Sergio Aguero writhing in pain at Selhurst Park was a very unwelcome sight in what has been a very welcome start to the new campaign for Manchester City. The Argentine striker is out of their Champions League opener against Juventus, but Citizens fans should not fear.
Wilfried Bony has been forced to endure most of his career in the north-west on the bench, something he must have expected when he headed to the Etihad last season. However, the injury to Aguero gives him the chance to prove his worth to the supporters and his manager.
The Ivorian played just 12 times last season for the Citizens and was never given a real opportunity to show the skills that persuaded City to part with £25m for his services.
In his time at Swansea, the 26-year-old was no flat track bully. He scored goals in big games and against the biggest of clubs – the fact he scored three in two seasons against his current employers may go some way to explaining why they signed him.
He also notched goals against Man United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton in his time in south Wales, proving he has the ability to cause the best of teams real troubles.
Bony’s European feats are not to be sniffed at either. In a Swans side experiencing continental football for the first time in over 20 years he racked up an impressive four goals.
Juventus have made a poor start to their Serie A campaign and are yet to win. They have conceded in each of their three outings so far, worrying for a side who pride themselves on their defensive stability and who kept 19 clean sheets in the league last term.
Their struggling rearguard will not enjoy facing the bustling form of Bony and his physical presence will make him a massive threat.
The City striker is 9/2 to open the scoring against the Italian champions and heap more woe on the Old Lady.
