Fantasy Football: Gut Truster places his faith in Gomis

Published:

The Premier League makes an eagerly anticipated return this weekend and with that plenty of changes in the world of Fantasy Football.

Our Ladbrokes Life lot have started to lose patience with a few of their under-performing stars going into gameweek 5.

And like many fellow armchair managers, perhaps you’ve also found some of your selections a little frustrating.

Worried by a lack of goals in your side? Or is your defence leaking points at an alarming rate?

Anyway, here’s how they’ve been tinkering with their respective teams.

Generous John

I’ve finally been overtaken at the top of the league but it’s still early days and I’m sure it won’t last long.

Gomez and Smalling both come out of the first XI as I’m expecting goals from Liverpool and Man United in their game.

I’ve finally lost my patience with Giroud, his poor form for club and country has forced me to make a change. He makes way for Gomis who comes in to take his place and get the armband so I’m hoping his goalscoring form continues this week. And look who’s been copying me…

Gut Truster

The boys produced the goods last week and I’ve finally leapfrogged Generous John to take top spot.

With that in mind the only change for me this week is handing the captaincy to Gomis. His form has been class and I’m expecting a goal or two from the big man.

The Professor

It’s still very early in the season but I’m not happy with my current position.

Having said that, I haven’t made any drastic changes for this week. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has made way for Norwich’s Nathan Redmond who’ll be pivotal to their survival hopes.

The Canaries are at home to Bournemouth and I’m expecting an entertaining game with plenty of goals.

Their midfield has plenty of creativity and I’m predicting this to be the area that will help me achieve a good score.

I’ve opted for a change in formation this week, reverting to a 4-4-2 with Sergio Aguero taking over as captain.
