England on course for Rugby World Cup success, according to fans

England are set to go all the way and win the Rugby World Cup in their own back yard this year.
That is according to the latest Ladbrokes News poll, which showed that more people are backing England than any of the other leading sides.
Stuart Lancaster’s men get their tournament underway against Fiji later tonight and go into the tie as 1/66 favourites.
Their odds of winning the Webb Ellis trophy may be a little longer at 4/1 but that hasn’t stopped a whopping 41 per cent of readers saying England will win the competition for the first time since 2003, when Johnny Wilkinson’s famous drop goal secured a famous win.
The All Blacks completed the top three, but only managed to attract 18 per cent of the overall votes.
South Africa were the best of the rest with the Sprinboks commanding nine per cent of the votes and Australia brought up the rear with a paltry five per cent.
However, it seems that everyone is pretty much in agreement that the winner will come from the top five in the market, with just four per cent of people saying someone from outside those powerhouses will go on to glory.
