Deadline Day: West Ham to be busiest club in Premier League

Published:

Deadline Day is finally here and while every manager in the Premier League is expected to be scrambling around behind the scenes no one is expected to do more business than Slaven Bilic.

The West Ham gaffer is expected to bring in more last minute signings than anyone else by 18:00 on September 1, with West Ham 4/6 to sign the most players today.

Bilic has already got the ball rolling with the loan capture of Alex Song from Barcelona and news broke this morning of a potential swoop for Victor Moses.

Manchester United are also expecting a busy day and after seeing Tyler Blackett, Jonny Evans, Adnan Junzaj and Javier Hernandez all leave over the weekend Louis Van Gaal is expected to splash the cash.

The Old Trafford club are the 9/1 second favourites to sign the most players but with United’s transfer dealings appearing somewhat haphazard since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson the 8/1 on the Red Devils making the last signing of the day could attract plenty of attention.

United fans are set to be in of a nail biter of day but Van Gaal looks nailed on to bring in at least one replacement, with his club on at 1/10 to make a signing on deadline day.

However, while clubs are expected to be busy, headline deals might be hard to come buy with Ladbrokes pricing a new world record transfer fee at a distant 66/1.

The British transfer record is looking more likely to be broken at odds of 6/1 but if reports are to be believed that money is more likely to be spent on Ligue 1 teenagers than the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Lionel Messi.

Whatever happens Deadline Day promises to be the usual rollercoaster of emotions and Ladbrokes News will keep you abreast of all the latest moves, rumours and odds right here.
