Palace may be coming into this off the back of two defeats but with those losses coming away at Tottenham and to a last gasp winner from league leaders Manchester City, a bit more credit can be given.

Alan Pardew put out a relatively strong side against Shrewsbury in Round Two, and while they required extra time, once they got into gear they easily asserted their dominance.

Charlton have lost three of their last four, and with Guy Luzon opting to rotate his squad in the last round, could find themselves outclassed by their Premier League opponents.

West Brom to beat Norwich @ 9/4

Like a typical Tony Pulis side, West Brom have been cutting a formidable beast in defence this year, keeping four straight clean sheets.

Only Chelsea and Manchester City have found a way past the combination of Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill this season, so the Baggies are unlikely to be losing much sleep over the threat of Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

They may have laboured to a penalty shootout victory against Port Vale in the last round, but Pulis has reiterated his commitment to the competition, and against a hit-and-miss Norwich side look excellent value.

Chelsea to score over 1.5 goals v Walsall @ 4/9

Jose Mourinho’s men returned to form at the weekend, and although they will probably rest the likes of the Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, they should be expected to see off their League One opponents.

But at a slightly better price, backing them to net two or more looks a more attractive option. The Blues have met this target in 18 of their last 19 domestic cup matches against lower league opposition, and with Loic Remy waiting in the wings it looks a likely run to continue.

Liverpool to beat Carlisle and both teams to score @ 7/4

Even with Brendan Rodgers the current favourite to be the next Premier League manager out of the door, it’s hard to back against his Liverpool getting the job done here.

But taking the odds from 2/9 to 7/4 is the addition of a Cumbrian goal.

Keith Curle’s men have a penchant for nicking one against the more fancied sides, even if they go on to lose, scoring in 10 of their last 13 cup encounters with teams hailing from a higher division.

With Liverpool failing to keep a clean sheet in their last 11 League Cup fixtures, expect the League Two outfit to be celebrating a goal at some point this evening.
