Will pundits say ‘character’ on Monday Night Football?

Published:

This week’s edition of Monday Night Football has thrown up an absolute belter with Arsenal set to face Liverpool at the Emirates this evening.

It’s a Premier League fixture that’s thrown up plenty of drama down the years and we’re hoping for more of the same.

And to make things even more interesting before kick-off, Ladbrokes have once again priced up a number of phrases to be uttered when Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Sky Sports presenter Ed Chamberlin sit down to look back over the weekend’s action.

The hour before kick-off has become a focal point in itself but what can we expect to hear tonight?

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has found himself the subject of countless memes and Vines owing to his favourite buzzword, ‘character’.

That’s a 6/1 shot to be heard in the build-up and the fun doesn’t stop there.

‘Big game for Petr Cech’ is available at 2/1 following some suspect performances in the early part of his Arsenal career.

Meanwhile, ‘compact back four’ and ‘Sanchez is world class’ can be snapped up at the same price and ‘Benteke needs to get 20 goals’ is priced up at 3/1.

‘Top four this season’ is another 3/1 option to listen out for after the bookmaker paid out on the selection following last week’s MNF.

But if you’re looking for something a little bigger then the 6/1 about ‘play one way’ and ‘little triangles’ are eye-catching alternatives given the two teams’ respective playing styles.
