Ladbrokes League 2: Queen’s Park won’t be afraid of Arbroath

The 2015-16 Ladbrokes League 2 season is only two games old but already Elgin City are signalling their intent as the only side with maximum points so far.
Of course, it’s still very early on so picking out the right results is pretty tricky.
Thankfully, we’re on hand to cast our expert eye over the latest form and statistics and pick out a few potential winners.
Here’s your weekly preview…
Arbroath v Queen’s Park
It’s been a miserable start to the League 2 season for Arbroath. The Red Lichties have lost their opening two matches 3-0 and sit bottom of the Ladbrokes SPFL pyramid.
And there is not much solace in the fact they have a poor recent record against visitors Queen’s Park.
The Spiders knocked their opponents out of the end season playoffs over two matches and notched up a total of three wins over them during the campaign.
The men from Hampden produced a fine performance, winning 2-0 at Clyde last weekend and should be full of confidence.
Best Bet: Queen’s Park (Draw No Bet) @ 2/1
East Fife v Elgin
East Fife host early season pace-setters Elgin in a competitive looking match-up.
Both sides have been finding the net with ease and goals should be on the cards here. The home side notched a mighty 5-0 win over Berwick last time out and the league leaders were just as impressive, seeing off East Stirling 4-0.
The last two meetings between the two have produced 12 goals and another high scoreline could be on the cards.
Best Bet: Over 3.5 Match Goals @ 6/4
East Stirling v Annan
It has been a testing start to the season for East Stirling. The Shire have exited both League and Challenge Cups at the opening stage and fell to a heavy 4-0 defeat on their travels last weekend.
The visitors dominated this fixture last season, winning all four clashes. The Galabankies have made a solid start to the season as well, unbeaten after two, with a win and a draw to their names.
With only three league goals between them thus far, this could be a tight affair with a single goal deciding it, possibly coming from the away side.
Best Bet: Annan to win 1-0 @ 17/2
Montrose v Clyde
Both these sides have a win apiece to their name and this promises to be a keenly contested fixture.
The home side survived relegation from the league system with a playoff win against Highland League outfit Brora last term and another season of struggle almost certainly awaits.
The Bully Wee flirted with a bottom placed finish themselves last term but Barry Ferguson has added some much needed experience to his squad and they can expect to push on.
This is a venue that will hold no fear for the away side. Clyde have won to nil on their last four visits to Links Park and they could well repeat the feat again this weekend.
Best Bet: Clyde to win to nil @ 13/5
Stirling v Berwick
Stirling Albion have made a struggling start in their attempt to bounce back up to League 1 at the first attempt.
The Binos have picked up a single point from their opening fixtures and key striker Steven Doris has been ruled out for a number of weeks.
Meanwhile, it’s been a summer of change for Berwick, with manager Colin Cameron completely overhauling his squad from last season.
The Borderers will be low in confidence after a morale sapping 5-0 reverse to East Fife in their last appearance and the omens don’t look good for them. Berwick have lost on their previous five visits to Forthbank meaning the home side will fancy their chances of notching their first victory here.
