The Premier League season is almost upon us, and it’s not just the managers making their final tweaks to their squads.

Weighing up whether to go striker-heavy or opt for a more balanced squad will be key to the Fantasy Football managers out there.

And it’s not just pride at stake with Ladbrokes’ very own competition.

The characters from the Ladbrokes Life will be there as well, waiting to take you on.

We are giving you a sneak peak at their squads ahead of the big kick-off, because we’re nice like that.

First up is the Gut Truster. Here’s who’s got his backing to shine…

And here’s what our very own betting dreamer had to say about picking his team…

“There could only be one man in between the sticks for me and that’s England number one. A top shot stopper with over 100 Premier League clean sheets, Joe Hart was always going to don the gloves,” he said.

“Nathaniel Clyne and Seamus Coleman flank Per Mertesacker in defence, with a blend of attacking width and leadership this threesome should rack up points for clean sheets, assists and goals.

“PFA Player of the Year, Hazard gets the armband and I’m certain the 24-year-old Belgian will get even more assists and goals than last year.

“He is in fine company in midfield with David Silva and Santi Cazorla two technically gifted gods of the Premier League.

“Louis van Gaal has invested well this year and United will be a force again I’m sure. That’s why anchor man Daley Blind gets the nod as he’ll be their unsung hero picking up many a cleansheet bonus and chipping in with the odd goal here and there.

“Sergio Aguero looks to be a doubt so Wilfried Bony is in line to fill his boots and will get amongst the goals early on in the season. The beast has had a year to settle in at the Etihad and with Watford first up he could make mince meat of the Premier League new boys.

Meanwhile, Southampton have got themselves a real gem in Juanmi, the 22-year old from Malaga completes my front three and will be the surprise package this season.”
