And to make things even more exciting The Professor, Gut Truster, Believer, Mr. Brightside and Generous John have all got involved and put together their own teams.

So, what are the Ladbrokes Life characters up to this week? Let’s find out.

The Believer

Two suspensions in two weeks has left me well adrift and I’ve got to make up some lost ground.

In order to do so I’ve made some subtle changes that’ll surely bag some points.

I’ve stuck with Lukasz Fabianski after coming out with a clean sheet against Newcastle and with the self-imploding Sunderland coming up on Saturday nothing will get past the Pole.

Daryl Janmaat has obviously been cut after a couple of stupid fouls earned him a red card.  There’s no change in the rest of the defence but I have gone with a 3-5-2 formation to get myself out of this poor form.

There have been big changes in midfield with Yannick Bolasie being dropped as he hasn’t had the impact I expected but I’m not ruling out his return to the side.

Ross Barkley impressed my against Southampton when rediscovering the vision and creativity that’s made him a rising star.

And Nacer Chadli replaces the suspended Janmaat to give my team a more attacking feel.

Up top I’ve stuck with Harry Kane and Bafetimbi Gomis. I’m expecting great things this week from the Swansea frontman. He’s pitted against a poor Sunderland defence and in this form you’ve to think he can bag a hat-trick.

Generous John

I’ve had a blinding week with plenty of big points made, most notably from the men at the back.

A nice clean sheet for Man City allowed me to pick up points from Joe Hart and Vincent Kompany with the big man also getting on the scoresheet for the second week running.

I didn’t make the same mistake this week and Riyad Mahrez coming in was another tactical win as he bagged another goal.

Meanwhile, my faith in captain Olivier Giroud paid off with his acrobatic goal setting the Gunners on their way to victory

For the upcoming fixtures I’ve decided to put Laurent Koscielny on the bench. Arsenal host Liverpool and that game always has goals.

Cesar Azpilicueta comes in and I’m hoping for clean sheet points with Chelsea taking on West Brom.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain makes way in the midfield and Dusan Tadic gets the nod to start

The Professor

You don’t have to look too closely at the statistics to see that recent matches between Arsenal and Liverpool have featured plenty of goals.

In fact, the last five games between the two have produced 20 goals with both teams scoring in each and it could be another exciting contest this Monday.

For that reason Gunners goal-threat Olivier Giroud comes in for Harry Kane.

After his midweek heroics in Europe, Memphis Depay gets the armband  as Manchester United look for their third win in a row.

Gut Truster

I had a nice little points haul this week and I’m back in the game. Watch out Generous John, I’m hot on your heels!

With no wholesale changes needed  I’ve switched up my captaincy and given David Silva the nod. The little Spaniard should pose a huge threat breaking forward and that sees Seamus Coleman left on the bench again this week despite him picking up an impressive 11 points at Southampton.

Juanmi’s not even had a look in so far, so he’s out, and Santi Cazorla is back in to flood the midfield and pick up those vital assists.

Mr. Brightside

Time to shake things up. I’m going for a double substitution and exchanging both Newcastle boys Daryl Janmaat and Moussa Sissoko after their miserable display away at Swansea. I will bring in some real pace in the form of Palace’s Pape Souare and Jordon Ibe.

The Eagles’ new right-back played a part in two of the goals on the opening days and looked a real threat against Arsenal on Sunday. Meanwhile, it looks like Ibe will feature in Brendan Rodgers’ plans this season and is a great option off the bench. This will also free up some cash so I can bring in a marquee signing next week.

The Chelsea back four are still having nightmare’s about Sergio Aguero and that’s why the Argentine hitman is going to captain my side this week.
