Pair of triple-figure prices to take Greenbrier Classic by storm

Spectators and players alike should be arriving in West Virginia for the Greenbrier Classic expecting a good time.
Warm temperatures greet those traipsing the perimeter of the course while friendly playing conditions lie infront of those on the other side of the rope.
The Greenbrier Resort’s Old White TPC rates as one of the easiest par 70s on the PGA Tour schedule and winning scores of -16 (twice), -13, -10 and -22 in the previous five editions certainly suggests another shootout is on the cards.
A simpler course levels the playing field somewhat, with any of the field capable of shooting the tournament-defining low round that propels them to victory. The lowest starting price of the competition’s five victors was 66/1 and the other four all teed off with triple-figure prices, so literally everyone warrants consideration.
On a course where attacking the pin is essential, two of the tournament’s longer prices fair well in that department.
Colt Knost has a career-best finish of third on the PGA Tour and is 125/1 to smash that record to smithereens with a victory in the Mountain State, but sits seventh in the proximity to the hole stakes and 33rd in greens in regulation.
His form in the five tournaments prior to the Greenbrier is encouraging, a missed cut at the Memorial Tournament aside. In three of his other four starts Knost has finished inside the top 12 and shot six-under or better.
Further down the betting, at 150/1, sits Brian Stuard, who finished in a tie for sixth in his last Greenbrier appearance in 2013.
Like Knost, the 32-year-old is enjoying a solid season approaching the green, ranking 10th in proximity to the hole and finished tied 25th at the Travelers Championship last time out.
