Forget Pearson – Holloway is Premier League’s barmiest boss

Nigel Pearson’s off-field antics may have earned him the boot at Leicester City but the former Foxes gaffer is not the Premier League’s barmiest boss, according to a new poll.
That honour has been bestowed to former Blackpool boss Ian Holloway, who took 37 per cent of the overall vote.
Pearson wasn’t far behind though, with his recent antics -including his manhandling of Crystal Palace’s James McArthur and calling a journalist an ostrich – earning his 25 per cent of the votes.
Joe Kinnear completed the top three and his all-swearing, ill-informed road show – highlights of which include incorrectly claiming to have signed Tim Krul and a rift with Charles Insomnia [sic] – was enough to secure 14 per cent of the votes for the former Newcastle man.
And bringing up the rear were ex-Fulham boss Felix Magath and Newcastle legend Kevin Keegan.
The former’s idea that soft cheese is a credible medical solution for a torn hamstring and the latter’s well-documented meltdown about Manchester United saw voters split with 11 per cent of the total going to each man.
Keegan will be thankful his famous speech didn’t earn him top spot on our list but we doubt he will “love it” that he made the shortlist at all.
