Janko Tipsarevic to beat Marcel Granollers @ 11/8

After needing two operations to remove a benign tumour in his foot, Tipsarevic has returned to the Tour this season following a 17-month absence.

In his 10 matches since, the former world number eight has won four of them and showed glimpses of his old self in defeating Bernard Tomic on clay.

Although he doesn’t own the greatest Wimbledon record – he’s only gone beyond the third round twice in 10 visits – his opponent’s is worse. Granollers has been a first-round loser in five of his eight appearances at SW19.

Tomas Berdych v Jeremy Chardy – Chardy to win at least one set @ evens

World number six Berdych is always a threat at Wimbledon where he reached the final in 2010, but the Czech is unlikely to have it all his own way in round one.

Chardy is a tricky customer and reached the round of 16 here last year until running into the big-serving Croatian Marin Cilic.

At these odds he looks exceptional value to steal a set considering Berdych gave up a set in each of the first two rounds 12 months ago before Cilic ended his involvement in emphatic fashion to set up the Chardy encounter.
