Meet the teen sensation tempting Stoke City and Newcastle

Stoke City have joined a host of clubs in the running to sign Shrewsbury teen Josh Ginnelly, according to reports.
The 18-year-old was cut loose by Aston Villa in 2013 and then offered a two-year scholarship deal with the Shrews, where he has caught the eye.
The Coventry-born midfielder has played just three times in League 2 but that hasn’t stopped Potters boss Mark Hughes inquiring about the youngster’s future.
According to the Shropshire Star, the Britannia Stadium outfit are vying with Championship side Wolves for the teenager’s signature, while north-east duo Newcastle and Sunderland are also credited with an interest.
Shrews manager Mickey Mellon believes New Meadow is the best place for Ginnelly at this stage of his career but understands that the winger is flattered by the attention and needs time to make up his mind.
“His situation is ongoing and he’s still looking at his options, which he’s entitled to do and every player does. I’ve spoken to him a couple of times and he’s quite rightly looking at what’s out there,” he told the newspaper.
“I want him to want to be here and know it’s the place that’s going to be make him better. I don’t want anyone here that doesn’t want to be here or thinks they have to be here.”
Stoke are currently priced at 5/4 to secure another top 10 Premier League finish and at 18/1 to press on and reach the top six.
The Potters will start the 2015-16 campaign away at newly-promoted Norwich with odds of 17/10 on a three-point haul at Carrow Road.
