Djokovic still nailed on for French Open glory, say voters

If you’re an Andy Murray fan, look away now. Because there’s been no room for sentiment when it comes to evaluating his chances of winning the French Open.
Ladbrokes News readers have made world number one Novak Djokovic their most likely champion at Roland Garros with the Serbian taking 55 per cent of the vote.
Muzza was second on 30 per cent while fellow semi-finalists Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Stan Wawrinka were left feeding off scraps when polling closed.
It’s not a huge shock that Djok came out on top. The 28-year-old is in the form of his life and brutally disposed of king of clay Rafa Nadal in straight sets to book a place in the last four.
And while Murray is also on fire at the moment – winning his last 15 matches on clay – his head-to-head record against Djokovic doesn’t make for great recent reading.
The latter has beaten his British rival the last three times they’ve met on this surface and currently enjoys a 19-8 overall record.
Meanwhile, Tsonga might be the home favourite in Paris but the odds – and your votes – suggest he’s a 16/1 outsider for a reason.
However, the Frenchman can perhaps take some heart from the fact that semi-final opponent Wawrinka fared even worse than him in our latest poll.
