Kammy picks Premier League XI captain – it’s not John Terry

Following on from his comments regarding Steven Gerrard’s suitability to one day manage Liverpool, Chris Kamara has also paid tribute to one of the Premier League’s greatest ever players.

While there are number of prime candidates to take the armband in a team of Premier League legends there is only one winner according to the Sky Sports pundit.

“If you’re picking an all-time Premier League team then Steven Gerrard will be the captain. John Terry will be in there too but Gerrard will be the skipper” Kammy told Ladbrokes News.

And his rave review didn’t stop there.

“He is one of a dying breed. There’s still a few around but one club men are in short supply” Kammy added.

“All of the accolades that will come his way are deserved. He’s done wonders in the Premier League. Gerrard is in the same bracket as the likes of Ryan Giggs.”

Gerrard bids farewell to the Anfield faithful this weekend with the Reds priced at 1/2 to beat Crystal Palace in Saturday’s late kick-off.

Ladbrokes are also offering a number of specials on the Liverpool talisman, including 13/8 that he cries and kisses the badge during the 90 minutes.
