Be it Bingham or Trump, the Magician can lift second world title

The identity of his final opponent has not yet been confirmed at the time of writing, but going by his faultless form at the tournament thus far, their only seems to be one name going on the 2015 Snooker World Championship trophy.
That name has been etched onto the famous trophy once before, albeit exactly 10 years ago, and that name is Shaun Murphy, the 8/11 favourite with Ladbrokes.
The Englishman, who broke onto the scene in such stunning fashion when winning the championships as a 22-year-old qualifier, is back in his third final at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre.
The Magician hasn’t required any sorcery to book his place in Sunday’s showpiece either, simply relentless, high-quality snooker.
Whether or not he faces Ronnie O’Sullivan’s executioner, Stuart Bingham, or the immensely talented, but sometimes reckless Judd Trump who are due back for a thrilling evening session conclusion to their semi-final – Murphy looks in the mood for glory.
His trademark long potting has ensured half chances have been gobbled up and 11 centuries en-route to the showpiece shows he knows his control of the cueball has been exquisite.
The Harlow native has given up just 24 frames in four matches, which is incredible given the marathon format at the tournament.
Should Murphy face Bingham, who currently harbours a two-frame advantage over Trump needing just four more frames for victory, then the favourite will be in a strong position, having defeated Ball-Run in successive matches and in three of the last four clashes.
Meanwhile, although Trump holds a marginal 5-4 head-to-head advantage from the past, the Juddernaught lost to Murphy earlier in the season at the Ruhr Open.
Murphy went on to add the elusive Masters title to his collection not long afterwards and so far the world championships have looked every bit a déjà vu of his commanding Alexandra Palace win.
