There can be little doubt that Alexis Sanchez has been a huge win for Arsene Wenger in the transfer market. After spending much of his time at Barcelona prior to his north London switch sat on the fringes of the team, Sanchez has clearly revelled in playing a leading role for a club again, which has dovetailed with his impressive form in front of goal.

Crucially for the Gunners, the 26-year-old has played a dual role as either the side’s spark plug or finisher, getting 11 of his 14 Premier League goals as either a match opener or last strike of the game.
