Voters say Sergio Aguero should have been included in PFA Team

The dust is yet to settle on the debate surrounding the selection of the 2014-2015 PFA Premier League Team of the Year and Ladbrokes News readers have been quick to further muddy the waters.

We asked you who you thought had been harshly left out of a side that contains a whopping six Chelsea stars and a somewhat dubious Liverpool entry.

And a sizeable 42 per cent responded by voting Manchester City frontman Sergio Aguero as the one player who can feel most hard done by.

The Argentine has shone in an otherwise underwhelming City campaign. A tally of 21 Premier League goals this season gives Aguero the outright lead in the scoring charts with last weekend’s opener against Aston Villa the 11th time this season he’s broken the deadlock for the Sky Blues.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas didn’t feature in the official team alongside his Stamford Bridge pals and the Spaniard had to settle for second-place here having scooped 29 per cent of the poll.

Southampton’s Jose Fonte was again overlooked (13 per cent) with teammate Nathaniel Clyne (8 per cent) and QPR’s Charlie Austin (8 per cent) also forced onto the sidelines once again.

All that’s left to say is congratulations to our winner. As an individual ‘Kun’ has been outstanding. It’s just a shame for him that the rest of the Etihad outfit have often flattered to deceive.

Manchester City are 19/20 to beat Tottenham next weekend.
