How Twitter reacted to Jordan Spieth’s majestic Masters win
No matter how well a round is going, eventually, Augusta National bites back, it always has done.
But, as Jordan Spieth strode around the course on his way to an accomplished maiden Major victory, it became clear there was to be no sting in the tail for the 21-year-old.
His performance over the four days, in which he led each, left the golfing world in awe as he collected accolade after accolade with a supreme display of confidence and assurance.
Throughout the tournament Twitter was awash with praise for the young star and below you’ll find some of the best from Masters Sunday:

The Texan’s form saw him sit as second favourite behind Rory McIlroy at 10/1 before the tournament and he duly delivered, as golf writer Shane Bacon pointed out:

After flirting with missing the cut in the opening two days, McIlroy made a fine chase of the leader over the weekend, as he finished on 12-under while hunting the career Grand Slam:

Justin Rose chased Spieth for the entire Sunday in the final group, but in the end had to settle for a T2 and a beer with a member of 1D:
