PSG star Man Utd hero rated over Ronaldo can upset Barca

Never one for doing things by the book, Manchester United legend Eric Cantona continues to blaze a very unique trail in the world of football.
Long-retired and with no plans to move into the world of management, the Frenchman had his say on who he regarded as the best player in the world last week and it offered up some rather strange results.
While the world appears to be eternally-locked in a never-ending debate on who is the best player in the world out of the two leading candidates, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Cantona offered up another rather unusual candidate.
“For me, the best player in the world is Javier Pastore,” he told reporters last week.
“I watched two PSG games just to see him play. For me, he is the most creative player at the moment. Pastore is full of surprises. I love this kind of player.”
Almost a week on from those comments and with the Parisiens’ Champions League campaign hanging by a thread, it’s high time Pastore started to live up to the former Manchester United man’s billing.
A starter in the first-leg at the Parc des Princes last week, Pastore could do little to prevent PSG going down 3-1 to a Luis Suarez-inspired Barcelona, with the likes of David Luiz at fault for the final score.
A €42m signing from Palermo back in 2011, the 25-year-old has impressed in France but he still has some way to go before reaching the level set by Messi and CR7.
There are signs that he could be one to watch in the Nou Camp though.
It was Pastore, after all, who gave PSG a shock lead against the Catalans in their previous quarter-final second leg at the ground back in 2013.
He comes into the game in fine scoring form too, having netted twice for the Ligue 1 outfit against Nice in a 3-1 win last Saturday.
PSG undoubtedly have a mountain to climb in Spain but should Pastore start well and deliver the kind of super-human result required, then those Messi and Ronaldo comparisons may not be that absurd after all.
