Ladbrokes offer Money Back if Hurricane Fly wins at Punchestown

Published:

Willie Mullins’ 20-time Grade 1 winner Hurricane Fly is one of the star attractions set to line-up in the Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle at this year’s Punchestown Festival.

And the sponsor is going all out for their big race by offering money back on all losers if the Fly wins!*

This will be the first time that the Irish trainer’s dual Champion Hurdle victor will run over three miles.

It’s a challenge the County Carlow handler was keen on the 11-year-old taking up earlier in the year.

But given his charge’s fine form over shorter trips in Ireland this season that decision had been put off – until now.

Ladbrokes are currently 9/4 about the Fly winning Thursday’s feature race although there will be plenty of punters willing to have a crack at the favourite.

Jessica Harrington’s Jezki has been behind his rival in four clashes during the current campaign but his recent win over 2m4f in the Aintree Hurdle offers hope of a possible reversal in form.

Meanwhile, others may veer towards Giggintown’s progressive hopeful Dedigout as a potential World Series Hurdle winner.

The 6/1 shot comes into this contest following a hat-trick of victories, including a Galmoy Hurdle success over the upcoming distance.

The same owners’ Lieutenant Colonel is another eye-catching entrant with the potential to lower Hurricane Fly’s colours in an intriguing renewal.

But should the latter triumph as the odds suggest he will do then at least there’s the comfort of another cracking money back special to fall back on.
