Chelsea’s Costa injury holds no bearing with Hazard set to fire

The news that Diego Costa is set to miss the next four matches may have the chasing pack sitting up in attention, but Chelsea have just the man who can continue to bang in the goals.

He became a habitual tip from Ladbrokes News to get on the scoresheet in the early part of the season, and now Eden Hazard is coming to life again.

The Belgian has netted four times in Chelsea’s last six games, nearly half of the Blues’ goals in that period.

He may be needed to be on form in their next game, despite it coming against a side languishing in the relegation zone.

While Jose Mourinho’s men have blown many a team away in recent years, their record against local rivals QPR isn’t quite so inspiring.

It is of course relative, but Chelsea have only won half of their last six matches against the Rs, losing twice.

And with their neighbours at Loftus Road clearly up for a fight it might take some magic from Hazard to separate the sides.

QPR defender Clint Hill has spoken of how he wants fans to replicate the “same kind of atmosphere and cauldron of fire and hate” that was delivered when the hosts took the spoils 1-0 back in 2013.

However, with the visitors’ number 10 finding the net in four of Chelsea’s last five away games, hostile atmospheres clearly don’t get to him.

He is 4/1 to strike first and put the league leaders on the way to victory and take them one step closer to the title.
