3 teams to back for Super Bowl glory based on their schedule

Published:

1) Indianapolis Colts – 12/1

Considering the Colts have won their AFC South division in nine of the last 12 seasons it’s fair to say that they hold quite a spell over their rivals in that particular mini league.

It bodes well, then, that Andrew Luck and co face all of their divisional rivals over the course of the final six weeks of the season, with the Tampa Bay Buccanneers thrown in as an additional sweetener in that time.

That their three hardest outings, against the Patriots, Saints and Broncos, all come at home is another major positive for last season’s AFC Conference runners up.

2) New Orleans Saints – 33/1

Just like any sport, winning on the road is tough in the NFL, as the 26 teams with losing away records last season will tell you. Luckily for the Saints, they won’t have to suffer a prolonged period without home comforts this campaign.

New Orleans are the only NFL side without consecutive away games listed on their schedule. They technically do have one elongated section of travelling to do, but have the pleasure of a bye week lodged in the middle of it, allowing plenty of R and R before heading back out.

3) Miami Dolphins – 33/1

The Dolphins’ gradual gradient of improvement – they’ve recorded two straight 8-8 seasons after suffering four consecutive losing campaigns – could well get a spike after being handed a plum schedule for 2015.

They could gather plenty of momentum thanks to five home games in the last seven weeks of the season. If they can come through a rough patch against the Patriots, Bills and Eagles, then a playoff place (or more) for the first time since 2008 isn’t beyond them.
