Ladbrokes have opened up the betting on the STV Leaders Debate, announced for April 7th, and we make Nicola Sturgeon a pretty hot favourite.
We’ll settle the winner on any YouGov post-debate poll of viewers’ opinion on who won. I have no doubt that the First Minister will do very well in this sort of event and given that the SNP are miles ahead in the polls, there’s no reason to think she won’t come out on top.
Interestingly, we’ve made Ruth Davidson the second favourite here and I could see her putting up a very good display. She might get the chance to look the most reasonable and fair minded participant whilst Murphy and Sturgeon concentrate on knocking spots off each other.
