Price Boost: Neymar enhanced to fire Brazil ahead

International friendlies may be the bugbear of modern football but any chance to see Brazil line up against France should not be sniffed at.

The Samba Boys will do just that later this week and while there is nothing on the line – aside from national pride – their most recent encounter indicates that the goals could flow.

Brazil ended a six-game winless streak against the French two years ago, when running out 3-0 winners, and with Barcelona star Neymar heading the Selecao attack a similar result could be on the cards this time round.

And should the Brazilian superstar get the game up and running with the first goal, Ladbrokes customers could get that carnival feeling thanks to the bookmaker’s latest Price Boost.

The odds on Neymar opening the scoring have been enhanced from 9/2 to a much more rewarding 11/2 and given the Barca ace’s strike record this season there looks a high chance of him doing just that.

Neymar may operate in the vast shadow of Lionel Messi week-in, week-out but his tally of 26 goals from 37 appearances for club and country this term is still hugely impressive.

More impressive though is the 23-year-old’s ability to start games at a high tempo. Of those 26 strikes no fewer than nine have seen the Brazilian open the scoring and with five of those goals coming in the first 15 minutes of games the 11/2 on a opening strike here starts to look great value.

As hosts France go into the tie as 6/4 favourites, with Brazil priced at 7/4, but regardless of the final result this latest Price Boost means that Neymar looks the best bet on the night.
