McCall given backing for Rangers job by Sky Sports pundit

Making decisions is rarely a straightforward process at Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers these days but their latest move looks to be a positive step in the right direction.

That’s according to Ladbrokes ambassador and Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara who’s lavished praise upon good friend and new Ibrox boss, Stuart McCall.

The former Motherwell manager has been handed the reins of the Scottish Championship side until the end of the season following a period of turmoil both on and off the pitch.

And it’s a decision that’s gone down well with Kammy.

He told Ladbrokes News: “Rangers shot themselves in the foot when they got rid of Ally McCoist in the first place. Why? They thought the grass would be greener and it hasn’t been since he left.

“But Stuart knows what he’s doing and can help turn things around. He’s had a good spell at Motherwell and has recently worked alongside Gordon Strachan with the national team which is a decent grounding.

“Rangers is a club close to his heart and he’ll have plenty of enthusiasm for the task ahead.

“He’s now got two months to show them that he can do the job and for Rangers to get someone of his calibre and status, well, he’s a great choice.”

The Gers’ first assignment under McCall is tomorrow’s home game against Livingston, with Ladbrokes pricing them up as the 1/3 favourites for victory.
