Ladbrokes customers “Believers” when it comes to Kane and England

Harry Kane always looked likely to score for England against Lithuania, according to the way the betting went among Ladbrokes customers.

According to data compiled by the bookmaker, the 21-year-old dominated the in-play next scorer market with a total of 64 per cent of all stakes in that market wagered on the Tottenham star scoring next.

It was most definitely a victory for The Believers among you, with Kane priced at 4/1 to net the goal he scored just 79 seconds after coming on as a substitute.

He was not the only England star to deliver either with 65 per cent of first goal scorer punts going on England captain Wayne Rooney.

There was certainly something of the Generous John about the 29-year-old’s opener, with Ladbrokes previously boosting the Manchester United man to a none-too-shabby 7/2 to score first.

A solid 14 per cent of correct score bets meanwhile fell on 4-0, with Kane’s headline-grabbing goal helping a lucky few to big returns.

Available at 8-1 ahead of kick-off, a fourth goal had looked unlikely until the Tottenham man popped up at the back post with a finely-placed header.

Now 14/5 to score any time against Italy on Tuesday and 8/1 to open the scoring against the Azzurri all eyes will once again be on Kane in Turin.
