Hitman Treble: Tour around the Europa League with boosted trio

Published:

As the Europa League creeps ever closer to its completion, the amount of chances to back the competition’s plethora of in-form strikers to score is fading.

Luckily for Ladbrokes customers, there is a prime opportunity to ride the crest of a wave for the rest of the tournament with a simply mammoth latest instalment of their infamous Hitman Treble offer.

Carlos Bacca, Demba Ba and Bas Dost have all been bundled together to score in 90 minutes of their respective Europa League games and boosted from 9/1 to a massive 12/1 shot.

Here is how each one’s form stacks up ahead of their encounters:

Carlos Bacca v Villarreal

In last season’s final, Bacca scored the penalty that set Sevilla on the path to claim the Europa League trophy in a shootout.

This term the Colombian has had a less fruitful European campaign, managing just two goals so far.

However, as his 19 all-competition strikes suggests, Bacca is usually a reliable source of goals and has notched twice in four career appearances against Villarreal.

Demba Ba v Club Brugge

After knocking out Liverpool in the previous round, it is somewhat surprising that Besiktas find themselves 2-1 down to their Belgian opponents after the first leg of the round of 16.

But if one man has the firepower to drag them back from the dead it’s Ba, who has scored 20 times for the club this season in 29 outings, including five in this competition.

Bas Dost v Inter Milan

Moving from one striker in fine form this season to one in a red-hot streak this year, Wolfsburg’s Dost is the banker of the trio.

Since 2015 arrived, the Dutchman has netted 13 goals in 12 appearances, bagging a brace or better in five of those games.

Although he didn’t find the net in the first leg against Inter, the fact that the Italians have managed just three clean sheets in their last 11 at home gives him a chance to correct that.
